WEDDING DAY | MARY AND LAP | SWAN LAKE EVENT CENTER | MAY 30TH, 2023

We always love a return to Swan Lake Event Center! It is a beautiful setting and everything is within steps of each other, including places for the bride and groom to get ready, the ceremony space, and the reception space. The setting and lighting for getting ready shots is always a toss up, but at Swan Lake Event Center its always perfect because of the windows that line the getting ready rooms.

Mary and Lap may be one of the most family oriented couples we have shot with. From the moment we pulled up there was tons of family ready to support the couple on their wedding day. They made sure to make the most of their day but getting all kinds of family photos and video that I am sure they will cherish forever.

Mary and Lap read their own vows at the ceremony, which were so sweet, but I think the best part was the two flower girls dancing down the aisle and all the cheering that came with it. They also had their dog bring the rings down the aisle and sit next to them during their first kiss. We love when couples include their dogs in the wedding!

WEDDING DAY | HAILEY AND CAMERON | BLYSTONE FARMS | MAY 13TH, 2023

We had never had the opportunity to shoot at Blystone Farms but Hailey and Cameron’s wedding day gave us that chance! It was truly a beautiful day, with the perfect weather, in the perfect setting. The farm is has the best addition to any wedding day film…horses. Hailey was able to interact with the horses which provided to be a great addition to their wedding films.

Before the ceremony Hailey’s bridal party prayed over her which did not leave a dry eye in the bunch. It was touching to see the girls come together and wish the best for Hailey and the start of her marriage with Cameron. Once the prayer had ended Hailey and Cameron did a first look with a twist. They stood back to back around one of the corners of their reception venue and had a moment to themselves which included reading private vows they had written to each other. We really loved that idea!

Their reception had so many personal touches, including a seating chart and table numbers themed after the Lord of the Rings. It’s fun to film a wedding reception with personal touches that are so different from the norm.

WEDDING DAY | KATIE + TAREN | WORTHINGTON HILLS COUNTRY CLUB | APRIL 29TH, 2023

Ever seen a grooms truck break down on the side of the road on the way to his wedding? Well, Taren’s did, but he recovered quickly and made it to Worthington Hills Country Club to prep for his wedding day!

We started off the day hanging out with Katie and all her bridesmaids while they got ready at the Worthington Hills Country Club. While they were getting their hair and makeup done we were able to take all of Katie’s beautiful details and capture them in flat lays for our films. The reception space was full of light coming through the floor to ceiling windows, so it made out job easy.

There ceremony was held at a church in Worthington which proved to be a beautiful backdrop for them to exchange vows and become husband and wife. The flowers that Katie and her bridesmaids carried down the aisle were the perfect compliment to the decor of the church. After the ceremony we had the perfect weather to be able to capture film of the couple, as well as the bridal party and ceremony outside on the grounds of the Worthington Hills Country Club.

During the reception Katie and Taren’s friend gave the most touching speeches about the couple. You can tell they are truly loved by everyone around them.

WEDDING DAY | HANNAH AND LAUREN | JORGENSEN FARMS | MARCH 17TH, 2023

Hannah and Lauren kicked off our 2023 wedding season! We were lucky enough to shoot our first wedding of the year at Jorgensen Farms. No matter the weather, it is a truly beautiful venue. It is a dream to shoot at.

The ceremony took place in the greenhouse, with light pouring in from all angles. Hannah and Lauren had a unique twist on the traditional ceremony with a handfasting. Handfasing is a Celtic ritual where the couples’ hands are tied together with cords or ribbons as they face each other. As the hand fasting is taking place, the couple recites vows to symbolize their unity. It was truly a special moment in Hannah and Lauren’s ceremony.

ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION | ELENA AND WES | RAYMOND MEMORIAL GOLF COURSE | MAY 29TH, 2021

Elena and Wes's anniversary celebration was an opportunity for us to do something a little different! Due to the pandemic Elena and Wes hold an intimate backyard ceremony in 2020 surrounded by their family. To celebrate their marriage they had a one year anniversary party in 2021 with their family and friends.

Because Elena and Wes were already married we wanted to fill their wedding film with memories from the happy couple. Adding sweet words from their family and closest friends was important as well; this gave us the opportunity to really convey how loved this couple is! Elena and Wes are so lucky to be surrounded by so many people that love them; this was very evident in the interviews we held and the sweet remarks everyone had for the couple.

Elena and Wes's anniversary celebration was perfect! You could feel the love in the room and everyone was so excited to finally be able to celebrate the marriage. The best part was that they played their wedding ceremony at the anniversary celebration; it was the perfect touch. When the sun was setting we all went out on the golf course and captured some beautiful sunset moments, as well as a really great drone shot of the couples…make sure you check it out!

WEDDING DAY | BROOKE AND MARCUS | THE SUTHERLAND | APRIL 23RD, 2021

Brooke and Marcus are one of the last couples we will be working with in North Carolina. We loved being in North Carolina and being able to shoot at beautiful locations. The Sutherland did not disappoint as a great wedding venue!

The wedding took place outdoors at The Sutherland on a beautiful spring day. We could not have asked for better weather! Due to the pandemic the guest list had to be reduced, but we were able to include those guests who could not attend by live streaming the wedding on Facebook.

It was important to Brooke to have a first look with her dad; it turned out beautifully! There was not a dry eye as we watched Brooke walk up to her dad in her wedding dress for the first time. It was really special to be able to capture that. We were also able to capture some fun moments with the bridal party, like the confetti shot!

We are Moving | Columbus, Ohio | February 25th, 2020

We are moving to Columbus, Ohio!

We are finally making the big move to Ohio after living in Durham, North Carolina for about 4 years. Ohio has a special place in our hearts. Mallory grew up in Cincinnati and went to Ohio State for her undergraduate degree in athletic training. Andrew is from Pittsburgh which is just a short 3-hour drive from Columbus. After meeting Mallory, Andrew quickly grew to love Columbus as well.

Many of our friends and family still live in Ohio and Pennsylvania and being close to them is very important to us. We are so excited to be able to reconnect with everyone in the area! We are also looking forward to personal favorites of the area like Skyline Chili and Ohio State football! We will always be loyal Penguins fans, but we are excited to be able to attend more Blue Jackets hockey games! The Columbus Crew is a fan favorite in our family, so being able to get to some soccer games is first on our to do list. Can you tell we love sports?! 

Don’t worry North Carolina couples, nothing will change with your weddings if you have already booked with us. We are very excited to continue to work with all of you and it gives us the perfect excuse to come back and visit North Carolina! We are also still taking referrals from couples and vendors who we have worked with in the past. But, we are open to booking in Ohio. WEDDING DAY | AMY AND RUSSELL | CITY CLUB RALEIGH | JANUARY 25TH, 2020

Our first wedding of 2020 is in the books!

Amy and Russell were married on the most beautiful January Saturday; we truly could not have asked for better weather. With the sun shinning the Capital was the perfect backdrop for their first look! Amy and Russell intimate wedding party also joined us at the Capital watching the first look for afar.

The wedding ceremony took place at the First Presbyterian Church just across the street from the Capital. The ceremony was so sweet with Amy’s dad not only walking her down the aisle but also acting as one of the pastors during the ceremony. Russell’s dad is also a pastor, so they were able to perform the ceremony together!

The City Club Raleigh was one of the most beautiful reception venues we have been able to shoot in. The views of the city were breathtaking and at night with the city lights in the background it was magical. 

This wedding was full of classic details, from Amy’s beautifully simple dress to Russell’s classic black tux. The reception was filled with flickering candles surrounded by white and green florals. The party moved from the reception area to the dancefloor, where guests danced to a live band. Late into the night guests were surprised with milk and cookies right before they sent the bride and groom off through a tunnel of sparklers!
